The assignment for this Sainte-Thérèse residence was clear: to plan a custom designed patio capable of accommodating thirty people and a veranda with a solid wood, exposed structure, harmonized with the house and the environment. Louis Philippe Lord of PurPatio.ca took on the challenge of designing the project. The structural elements of the deck and veranda are supported by 25 screw piles ensuring a solid and lasting construction. The floor made of Trex composites in Tiki Torch colour, with Spiced Rum accents and fascia needs no maintenance and is guaranteed for 25 years. A covered walkway affords access from the living and kitchen to the outdoor layout without fear of the weather. The veranda’s structure is impressive with its oversized posts and beams, supported by steel mounting brackets held in place by stainless steel lag bolts. The perfect spot to savour a morning coffee while gazing on the pool situated on a lower level. Innovative red cedar flower planters complete the setting.
