These clients own a house in town that is very close to the neighborhood. They wanted to be able to enjoy their new swimming pool out of sight of neighbors. Plus, they were really fed up with the time they spent maintaining their patio at the start of each summer. So they no longer wanted it to be made of treated wood. We then had to design a convivial terrace which had to include a swimming pool patio designed for relaxation as well as an intimate dining area and which would be maintenance-free.
We therefore opted for the design of a hybrid terrace on one level with a Trex composite floor, Havana Gold color from the Transcend Tropical range. This material has the appearance and color of wood. We completed it with a Black Onyx stained cedar skirt from Sansin, which provides a beautiful finish to the patio. We set up the dining area near the patio door leading to the kitchen for easy access. This includes the barbecue and a square table for 4 people. We surrounded it on 3 sides by a stained cedar railing which provides privacy to the place. We also wanted it to provide a hanging option for future installation of hanging decorations.
The pool patio, for its part, has direct access from the house and faces the pool. We have installed two deck chairs to allow you to enjoy the sun near the water. We decorated it with a structure made of columns and beams with cedar railings on the neighbors' side in order to preserve privacy. This area is separated from the rest of the terrace by a black Standard aluminum railing from Distinction. In addition, we have equipped it with an automatically closing barred door. In the spirit of continuity, we annexed the screens to the dining area, a cedar and aluminum gate at the entrance to the backyard.
