This townhouse owner in Laval hired us to design a private and functional living area in his yard. This space had to meet several needs, which is why we developed a terrace with a gazebo. It is made of Trex composite, a maintenance-free material. We chose the colors Havana Gold and Spiced Rum from the Transcend Tropical range. This mix matched with the Espresso and Onyx Black color of the wooden structures gives a contemporary look to this layout.
The first landing, at the exit of the house, has an outdoor kitchen with integrated composite bar. It is a place near the kitchen and the dining area where it will be pleasant to cook, while chatting with guests. Next door is the lounge section. It can accommodate a large corner sofa under a pergola with retractable sail. This allows us to protect ourselves from the sun or the rain whenever we want.
On the other landing, we have fitted out the dining area under a modern gazebo in stained white pine. To extend the pleasure into the evening, we added a pendant light as well as ambient lights in the risers. On each side, stained western red cedar privacy walls maintain privacy on the deck. We integrated galvanized steel cutouts in the dining section. Their starry patterns create an interesting visual focus.
Next, we opted for black aluminum and glass Murano railings to secure the back of the patio. This allows for a clear view of the courtyard. Finally, we also added a paved area at ground level to install a fire pit. We can then say that the design of this terrace with gazebo is complete and easily meets all the expectations of this client.
