The design that we developed for this client allows all areas to be protected from bad weather and close to the house. He wanted to take advantage of it in all circumstances. Additionally, he wanted the structure to be flexible and versatile if he decided to add screens in the future. So we designed a large deck in Azek Vintage Dark Hickory PVC with a white pine timberframe gazebo on top.
The terrace is directly off the patio door. Its size allows it to accommodate a lounge section with hanging chair as well as a dining room for 10 people. The spa is on the ground, but attached to the patio. This is what makes it easy and practical to access from home. The structure of the gazebo continues above it to shelter it. This way, occupants can use it all year round, regardless of the temperature.
Two tones of stain were chosen to create a beautiful contrast on the gazebo and to highlight its wooden components. These colors are Espresso and Sansin Onyx Black. We also chose to place a black aluminum cutout, River Rock model from Hideaway. It is at the end of the spa and integrated into the structure to create a beautiful decorative element. Veradek planters also add to the look thanks to their refined models and the omnipresent greenery in the decor.
Outdoor lighting fixtures from In-Lite add ambiance to the layout in the evening. Whether it is with the Puck which illuminates the perimeter of the patio and the paving stone or with the Ace Up-Down and the Flux which illuminate the columns of the structure, the effect is successful every time with these lights! Above all, don't forget the Disc Pendants, suspended above the table. Finally, the Liv Lows are scattered throughout the surrounding plantation.
