Design description

Lounge Gazebo Lorraine

This large gazebo, divided into two zones, is an adaptation of our Modern Gazebo design for the specific needs of the client. The mandate was to create a covered outdoor living space that would protect them from the rain. They also wanted to house a lounge section and a dining section at the same time.

We therefore designed a space to create privacy from neighbors. This is why we chose to put a wall at the back in which we added alcoves to personalize and decorate each of the areas. In addition, we studied the single-sided roof slope in order to minimize the neighbors' view of the swimming pool area. The timberframe is Western red cedar and the walls and ceiling are paneled. This allows us to bring out the simplicity and modernity of the architecture of this gazebo.

We connected it to the residence by a cedar pergola which perfectly aligns and unifies the two distinct elements. We also chose to position a privacy wall at the back of the barbecue which is located very close to the steps. The modern gazebo is made of cedar and it fits perfectly with the rest of the layout. All the wood we used in the project is cut, sanded and stained in the workshop in two colors. We chose Automne d’or and Noir Onyx from Sansin. This process is carried out under optimal conditions and increases the durability and uniformity of the stained wood.

To add an interesting visual accent to the project, we integrated black aluminum openwork panels into the top of the gazebo. We also integrated it into the top of the screen behind the barbecue to create a reminder. This is what makes it an inviting outdoor space with a unique design in harmony with the house.
