This two-level patio, complete with a gazebo and cedar privacy walls, is perfect for enjoying every outdoor space. It offers a variety of uses. On the upper level, the patio primarily serves as an outdoor dining area. It also includes a relaxation area and a barbecue. The gazebo provides shelter from the sun and rain for the occupants. It is constructed of stained Western Red Cedar. Its single-slope roof is covered in asphalt shingles, matching the house's roof, while the ceiling is paneled in stained cedar with recessed lighting.
Next, at ground level, we prepared the area for the spa. The upper patio floor is waterproofed thanks to Trex's Rain Escape system. This ensures that the lower section is protected from any water that might seep in during rainy days. Finally, on one side, we built privacy walls on both levels to shield the owners from the neighbors' view. Angled planks form the wall at ground level. These allow light to filter through while maintaining visibility for those on the deck. This creates a truly private space without feeling closed in.
