Western Red Cedar, stained (Black Onyx) 5/4" x 6"

We built this elevated Trex patio following a custom design project we completed for this client. Satisfied with the result, we were then commissioned to build this beautiful terrace. She had very specific requirements, so we designed a layout that would meet her expectations, integrate seamlessly with the residence, and be durable.

This is a Trex Transcend Tropical patio in Havana Gold. It extends across the front and right side of the cottage. This iridescent color mimics real wood, but it's a maintenance-free material. It's supported by timberframe columns, creating a covered area on the ground floor. The perimeter of the patio is framed by black railings from the Heritage model by Aluminium Distinction. The handrail is made of wood-finish aluminum, which nicely complements the decking color.

A Western red cedar timberframe pergola was installed to create an outdoor dining and lounge area. Cedar privacy walls were placed on the right side to limit the view from the neighbor. The entire structure was stained Sansin Onyx Black to match the rest of the landscaping. In addition, shade sails were added to each section of the pergola, allowing occupants to protect themselves from the sun if desired. It's the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors in nature, rain or shine.
