Project description

These clients' cottage is nestled in the heart of nature. It's located in the municipality of Wenworth, in the Laurentians. They commissioned us to build a new cedar patio at the rear of their home. It was to extend the entire length of the property. In addition, the front porch also needed to be rebuilt. They wanted the natural style of the cottage to be preserved.

We therefore built a long, 12-foot-deep cedar patio on the existing sonotube foundation. We then decided to add piles and pile heads to ensure its strength and durability. The Western Red Cedar decking will be left in its natural color to blend with the property, as requested by the homeowners.

Finally, Aluminum Distinction Commercial Brown railings secure the perimeter. The rear side features a Murano railing, a blend of aluminum and glass, which unobstructs the view of the surrounding panorama from inside the chalet. Heritage model railings encircle the other sides. These are baluster railings with a crossbar at the top. This combination highlights the landscape while saving on costs for the less visible sections.
