The owners of this large lakeside chalet wanted a complete redesign of their exterior to better suit their needs and create a grand gathering place for family and friends. All the patios are made of Azek PVC in Coastline and Dark Hickory, a highly durable and maintenance-free material.
On the first floor, the immense terrace, which runs the entire length of the house, is divided into two sections. A lounge with a fireplace is set up in front of the bedroom, while the dining area and barbecue are near the kitchen and the veranda.
We therefore installed a stained Western red cedar privacy screen behind the lounge area to maintain privacy. The railings surrounding the patio are made of glass and black aluminum. They are the Contemporary model from Aluminium Distinction. Lighting illuminates the floor and steps to create a beautiful ambiance in the evening.
Next, a wide, angled staircase leads to the ground floor, which is a large paved area. The upper patio is waterproofed with a Rain Escape membrane, protecting the areas below from the rain. A Western Red Cedar ceiling, stained Onyx Black, provides a beautiful finish. We've created a hot tub, a dining area, and a lounge. In addition, two cocoon chairs allow the owners to sit facing the lake and admire the view in complete tranquility.
We designed a complete outdoor kitchen near the stairs. It includes a barbecue, a smoker, a large corner counter, and a bar area. The counter layout incorporates a sink, food preparation space, and storage underneath. Additionally, we placed a small refrigerator and a pantry under the stairs, recessed into the Onyx Black stained red cedar skirting.
Right next to the bar, the pool area is simply breathtaking. Perched on the mountainside, it appears to float in mid-air, allowing the stunning panoramic views to take center stage. Pure Aluminum Distinction railings ensure safety in this section. These railings are made entirely of glass. In short, we can be sure that this superb exterior design will be the envy of many this summer and for many years to come!
