MIRABEL SPA PATIO

Design of a patio adjacent to the spa with a dining and bistro area

Design description

This small spa patio project may seem simple, but it actually involved several constraints. The homeowners didn't want a wooden structure that would require annual maintenance. Our design also had to be compatible with their new awning, which was attached to the house. They wanted to keep it and use it properly without any obstructions. Another requirement was privacy on one side to shield the view from the neighbors, and access to the spa directly from the ground-level patio. Furthermore, they already had a concrete slab that we had to preserve and conceal beneath the new spa patio.

We therefore built a single-level deck with a two-tone Trex composite skirting. We used Havana Gold and Spiced Rum from the Transcend Tropical range. This material is completely maintenance-free, which is why we chose it. Furthermore, its look allows us to create designs that offer the appearance and warmth of real wood without the drawbacks. We positioned the barbecue near the patio door. The remaining space is sufficient for a table with six chairs, as well as another high bistro-style table with four stools for drinks and snacks.

We ensured the patio's privacy with a screen made of perforated aluminum panels featuring a foliage pattern. We calculated its height in relation to the existing awning we needed to retain. The rest of the perimeter is secured with black Heritage Aluminum Distinction railings. We added Trex lights to the corner steps to enhance the ambiance in the evening.

This 3D design was then built by the Pur Patio team!
