The mandate for this design was to create a deck that would connect the different levels of the property. The deck had to extend from the house's entrance to the backyard. In addition, we were tasked with designing a pine gazebo for the dining area. We therefore designed a TimberTech Terrain composite patio in Brown Oak, flush with the concrete and paving stones surrounding the pool. To reach the shed, we opted for steps. This makes access much easier and more convenient for moving equipment in and out. Furthermore, to optimize access to the backyard entrance, a simple staircase was placed near the house's exit, right next to the barbecue.

The gazebo is positioned at an angle between these two traffic areas. It is constructed of white pine timberframe, stained Espresso by Sansin. Its gabled roof and arched guy wires give it a traditional look. The white pine decking ceiling is also stained Espresso. Structural elements such as the rafters and ridge beam are visible, as they are positioned above the decking boards. To ensure safety, 36-inch-high horizontal walls are integrated between the gazebo's columns. These serve as railings for the sides of the patio, which are raised off the ground due to the uneven terrain. For the rest of the patio, black railings with Standard balusters from Aluminium Distinction enclose the perimeter.

Finally, fixed mosquito nets close the gazebo openings to protect occupants from mosquitoes in the evening. The entrances have retractable screen doors, making entry and exit from the area simple and convenient. In addition, a pendant light in the center of the structure allows this beautiful spot to be enjoyed after sunset.
