These clients' primary need was for a shaded and private terrace, separate from their neighbors. They also wanted a unique and modern design. That's why they commissioned us to create a design plan that would meet their criteria.
We therefore developed two different proposals for them with similar layouts that aligned with this approach. The organization of the zones was simple. Outside the house, we created an outdoor kitchen that includes a barbecue, as well as an integrated counter and bar.
On the second level, there is a dining area for eight people and a lounge. In the initial proposal, we suggested a patio in Azek Vintage PVC decking in English Walnut and Weathered Teak. The shaded area is covered by a smart pergola with adjustable louvers and recessed Adobe-colored lighting. The privacy walls are made of Sansin Western Red Cedar stained Hazelnut, mounted on black aluminum posts. An asymmetrical cedar railing adds a beautiful, distinctive touch.
Regarding the second proposal, we opted for a Trex Transcend Tropical composite patio in Havana Gold and Spiced Rum. The main landing is covered by a Sansin pine gazebo stained Espresso and Onyx Black. The privacy walls are the same, but this time the stain color is Espresso. The cedar railings are also stained Espresso and Onyx Black to match the overall design. These clients will therefore have two beautiful options for a shaded and private patio, and the choice won't be easy!
