This design was developed according to the client's needs, who wanted a single-level Trex Enhance Naturals composite patio and a paved area at ground level. He also requested privacy from his neighbors to the right, who also have a raised patio. Furthermore, we had to ensure we reused the existing gazebo to incorporate a shaded area.
Our design is therefore based around these two areas. On the patio landing, there's enough space to create a dining area in addition to the barbecue and a small counter for meal preparation. This is where we chose to place the gazebo. We planned to hang ambient lighting from it for evenings with family or friends. The risers are also decorated with lights.
The Trex Enhance Naturals composite decking is a blend of two colors, Rocky Harbor and Coastal Bluff. The privacy wall and patio skirting are made of Sansin Onyx Black stained Western Red Cedar. This color combination complements the house, and the black sets the tone for this harmonious blend. To maximize practicality, we added doors to the skirting to create storage space.
Furthermore, the black balustrades from Aluminium Distinction secure the perimeter of the patio. They extend to the bottom of the steps leading to the paved area. This is where we chose to install the lounge section. It's a complete urban design that offers us several options for enjoying beautiful summer days.
