The custom design project undertaken for this client aimed to create a low-maintenance patio. She also wanted a dining area and a lounge area, both shaded. She already owned a large gazebo that she wished to keep. For all these reasons, we opted for a Trex patio.

The Havana Gold color from the Transcend Tropical range looks like real wood, but without the drawbacks. The two-zone layout allowed us to place the barbecue and dining area near the patio door, close to the kitchen, making meal preparation and serving easier. Additionally, the client's gazebo was perfect for covering the dining area. A cedar wall, stained in Sansin's Onyx Black, defines the barbecue area. Aluminum Distinction railings secure the rest of the perimeter.

In the second area, a cedar pergola wraps around the space. It is also finished in Sansin's Onyx Black. We incorporated a corner panel of black galvanized steel, the "Spanish" model, to create a visual focal point. It is also equipped with a retractable shade sail to provide a completely shaded section for the occupants. All these elements, stained black to match the wood color of the composite, give the design a modern look.

Finally, we concealed storage in the skirting beneath the Trex patio. It's accessible through a door on the higher side. Ambient lighting adorns the risers to illuminate the space in the evening.
