This client's cottage boasts a stunning lake view, which they wanted to showcase with a multi-level Trex patio design. This new patio was to include a dining area, a lounge area, a barbecue area with a bar, and a relaxation space for admiring the scenery. The lower level was to house a suspended swing facing the lake and storage space for kayaks. Having a shaded area was also an important requirement.
We designed a patio using Trex Transcend Tropical composite decking. We chose two colors, Havana Gold and Spiced Rum. These warm tones blend perfectly with the wood of the chalet and are also maintenance-free. We designed a custom-built, flat-roofed pine gazebo. It provides shelter for occupants as they step out of the patio door and into the dining and lounge area. The barbecue area with its composite bar is located right next to it for easy meal preparation and serving.
Finally, the last section of the patio is located lower down, facing the lake. The offset of this section from the rest of the patio offers an unobstructed view from all sides. On this level, lounge chairs can be placed for relaxing in the sun. The patio features Murano railings in black aluminum and glass from Aluminium Distinction, which further enhance the surrounding view. Below the structure, the space is designed to store kayaks so they are easily accessible from both the front and back of the property.
