The goal of this patio design was to create an outdoor space just outside the house where the occupants could cook, eat, and relax while being close to the pool and enjoying an unobstructed view. We therefore designed a patio that splits into two levels. It is constructed of TimberTech Reserve composite decking in the Driftwood color.

First, on the first landing at the exit of the house is the barbecue area. A Hoft low wall made of aluminum and Onyx Black stained cedar by Sansin serves as a railing to secure the space. It also provides a place for a spice rack, which is handy for cooking.

Next, on the main landing, a large pergola shelters the dining and lounge areas. It's made of natural, unfinished hemlock and is secured with Toja Solo, Trio, and Knect 6x6 unfinished fasteners. As an added bonus, a retractable, waterproof shade sail allows occupants to protect themselves from the sun or rain.

Right next to the pergola, we positioned a composite bar to enjoy the sun while overlooking the pool. Finally, the addition of In-Lite outdoor lighting fixtures (Wedge in the pergola, Hyve 22 RVS in the patio risers, Ace-Down on the existing shed, and Liv Low in the planting area) allows us to enjoy the various features and create a beautiful ambiance in the evening.

Finally, at ground level, black aluminum and clear Murano glass railings from Aluminium Distinction encircle the perimeter of the pool. Right next to it, we designed a second pergola. It covers an intimate lounge area with a fire pit near the water. It is constructed using the same Toja fasteners as the other pergola on the patio.

In addition, it features a Hoft privacy wall in black aluminum and wood on two sides. This allows for the addition of planters and towel hooks. A black aluminum geometric cutout from Hideaway creates a striking focal point in the center. This is the Moderna model. Finally, to limit sunlight in this area, a Graphite-colored Toja shade sail is attached to the beams.
