These clients were having a new above-ground pool installed in their backyard. They wanted to have a maintenance-free patio that would integrate it, in addition to meeting all their needs. So we created a tiered TimberTech Reserve patio design that includes multiple zones and helps bring everyone together.
The flooring is a two-tone composite: Antique Leather for the center and Dark Roast for the accents, fascia, and stairs. The landing at the exit of the house includes the barbecue area with a small countertop. Behind it is a black aluminum Hideaway cutout, Moderna model. It serves as a decorative element for the lower landing while also allowing heat from the barbecue to escape.
Right next to it is the pool area. Black Standard and Murano railings from Aluminium Distinction secure the perimeter. At the far end, there's a Hoft privacy wall, blocking the view from the neighbors. It's made of Espresso-stained Western Red Cedar planks from Sansin. Hoft hooks and planters have also been added.
Then, on the lower landing, a white pine timberframe gazebo houses the dining area and the lounge with fireplace. It is dyed in two tones to match the rest of the layout, Espresso and Sansin Onyx Black. Fixings at the corners as well as at the base of the columns make the structure solid. At the back of the courtyard, a Hoft fence in Espresso-stained Western red cedar from Sansin demarcates the land, providing maximum privacy. Moderna cutouts from Hideaway intersperse it to create a reminder of the layout of the tiered patio.
In-Lite exterior lights illuminate the various elements. The Hyve 22 RVS fixtures are in the risers to illuminate the main circulation areas, while the Mini-Scope ceilings are on the gazebo ceiling for the dining and lounge area. Sleek white Veradek planters complete the decor of this beautiful urban yard!
